i thought i'd keep my standard set up but after a few months decided to up-grade, IMO it's worth doing it , truck looks better and sits better on the road. it's only £180 for a pair of OME's....

On the 07, have the Factory winch and front bumper fitted,, and at present the standard front springs,,which even with 255/85 MT. have been OK,,, but truthfully, they are in need of changing to something a tad stiffer !! another job on the list sometime California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1

I upgraded to OME and it is alot better than before, I found that with the winch and standard springs it got a little bit wayward at the rear end! 2019 MY Disco 5 HSE Lux

So its a bit of a split at the minute, between the old rule i had of they need to change and they will be fine.
What im trying to work out is the usual heavy duty front springs are 90 rears - although the CSW is supposed to have the Heavy Duty all round from the factory - so what springs have you guys been using on the front? With the roof tent on the back is down a little anyway so dropping the front isnt a huge issue i cant say i want it too feebal on the front. But im not a fan of just chucking any old springs on; i know from past experience (and advise) that genuine LR springs are better (after all the spend £billions of R&D)! Mike |

best thing to do is phone a 4x4 supplier with your requirements and they'll sort you out with the right set up.

That site is a good site - been around a few years; they used to have a huge resource before a website change seemed to loose a lot.
Interesting read though. The thing with springs is Land Rover do spend some serious cash on this; ive never seen aftermarket suppliers spend this much - thus you always seem to get a change; land rover is taller, decreased travel (articulation) etc This is why ive built up a great deal of reluctance on none OE springs. Mine and SWMBO's both have OME 2" lift springs front and rear. Luvley smoother ride
