I can share with you my experiences from the last 3000 miles or so, as I track MpG on every fill up. If this helps, mine is a 2003 td5 110 dcpu. Let me know if you want my stats.

I'm a complete anorak about this stuff and have kept records for all of my Land Rovers for years. Here's my record for my current '05 TD5 (click to make it more readable):
Click image to enlarge It's obviously an Excel spread sheet, but I can't attach a file so this is just a screenshot. Towards the bottom you'll see that I've been experimenting with BP Ultimate, which has been slightly disappointing. It's certainly not justified for me from a cost perspective. I'm now trying regular BP to see what difference there is (if any). Here is my data recorded since November.
110 td5 with roof rack and 235 all terrains and a winch. Other than that totally standard. This is recording virtually all urban driving of trips less than 10 miles. And it is really hilly round here. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge The graph is a little pointless as there are only 6 fill ups recorded! There's been a few threads on this topic in the past....
My post on a previous similar thread was....
Updated figures now 29.1mpg over 24.5k miles in just over 2 years of tracking the data Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless. |

I am using road trip hd, full version. It was only a couple of quid.
It has managed to turn me in to a super nerd, rather than just a nerd. You can record servicing and modifications and create new files for different trips. All this is then handily converted in to annual running costs. Just don't show the results to swmbo |

Yes. Really straight forward, although I get the feeling I have only scraped the surface of what it can do.
A nice little feature are the reminders you can set, MOT, service intervals etc. this really helps me as I service my own car so I don't do everything at once. For example, I changed the gearbox oil and set the reminder for a given time period or mileage from that date. |
