I have used Camskill before and were excellent, cheapest I could find online.

There is a Site supporter on here too that you could try, AJS4x4

They are the cheapest online I have found as well. Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

Don't discount the smaller tyre places. Everyone thinks you will automatically save loads of money online however when I priced up some bf Goodrich km2's the other month there is a small tyre down the road from me who is bf Goodrich supplier and it pretty much worked out the same for him to supply and fit than I could have got them from camskill remember delivery and then cost to have them fitted and balanced! 2001 TD5 110 County Station Wagon - sold

I'd agree with the above, Camskill were the cheapest when I got my BFG ATs but when you ask a garage to fit & balance tyres you didn't buy from them the total price works out pretty similar to what you pay in an independent garage or retailer. Mark S

How much would the average garage charge for fitting 5 x tyres that you had purchased elsewhere?

I went to my local indpendant LR garage and I got 5 x BFG KM2 Mud Terrains for £810 fitted and balanced. That was similar to online prices and I prefer to support my local businesses where possible.

Worth checking your local garage.

Cheers

Don't forget if you just ask for fitting that will exclude balancing. Both fitting and balancing are are needed really. IIRC I paid £130 for 5x at a local specialist. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Good point about the fitting and balancing! We live in this world where we believe the internet is the place for everything now, try the old fashion way pick up the phone and have a ring around some local places, I was quoted about £650 to supply, fit and balance 4 265/75/R16 KM2's 2001 TD5 110 County Station Wagon - sold

Thanks.

It's also worth checking the manufacturing date that is stamped on the tyres. Car tyres should be changed at 10 yrs, no point buying a brand new tyre that's been sat on the shelf for 2 yrs.
