Hi geobloke,

Are you happy with the new brake disks? could you tell me (us) type and model?

Have you changed the brake pads type also?

What set up have you now?

What brand did you fit Geobloke? Very interested to hear. Nath

Hi Daniele and Nath. I have only fitted the fronts thus far, rears will be fitted later today so you'll have to wait for what the vehicle feels like with all the brakes replaced. I am still really very impressed with the difference just the fronts have made. Truly amazed.

I have waited many years for the discs on the 110 to wear down enough to warrant replacing them and although I would have loved to have had the cash to have splashed out on a full set of EBC discs and pads I could not justify the extra expense. The set up I have gone for is;

Front: Proline vented, grooved and drilled discs and EBC Greenstuff pads

Rear: Proline solid, grooved and drilled discs and Delphi pads

Proline are a US company I think, could be wrong. They are the ones that make the Paddocks performance discs. The discs fit perfectly on the LR hubs all the holes line up perfectly as well.

The reason for the lack of EBC pads on the rear is that apparently they do not make them for a post 2002 Defender 110. That and I think it would be a good idea not to have braking on the rear that is too good to prevent the rear wheels locking up.

I do think that taking the time to properly bed the pads and discs is absolutely necessary.

Hope that helps. I will update this when the rear brakes are replaced. Hopefully today Smile

Are They compatible with The puma?

The part numbers you require for a Puma are;

Front: Disc - FTC902SD EBC Pad - DA4159
Rear: Disc - SDB000330SD Pads - SFP000250

Again EBC apparently do not do pads for the rear of a 110.

Price from Paddocks: £140 delivered in the UK. Which is a good price considering the EBC disc bump the price up to £270... Surprised Rolling Eyes

Yes they are. Paddocks of course do not make them, just sell them as their own...
