Very neat idea. I like that a lot. Also could be powered via the interior lighting circuit too seeing as they are LED's (And also the interior lighting would need to be LED to bring the draw down to compensate) you would then switch to on static. off and on under door opening. Not sure I'd like that lit up whilst driving but depends on brightness.
All in all nice idea. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ¥ó ®ó §ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó ´ó ¿ðŸ‡®ðŸ‡ªðŸ‡ºðŸ‡¸â›½ï¸ðŸ›¢ï¸âš™ï¸ðŸ§°ðŸ’ª |

Thanks guys.
I got the LEDs from Halfrauds ages ago, a pack of 4 for around £7 IIRC, and I think they do them in green and red too. I got blue to match my head unit illumination. Just about finished converting all interior and exterior lights to LEDs now. Went with proper LED units for side lights, indicators, stop/tail, fog and reverse with LED bulbs for numberplate and wings. Couldn't quite stretch to Speakers so got crystals with LED halos. Not doing the dash though as not much point. Last edited by rustyboxx on 30th Mar 2013 10:52pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Not what I want to hear. (makes it even more appealing) I don't suppose they were Prism LED's were they. I wouldn't mind betting they are.. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ¥ó ®ó §ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó ´ó ¿ðŸ‡®ðŸ‡ªðŸ‡ºðŸ‡¸â›½ï¸ðŸ›¢ï¸âš™ï¸ðŸ§°ðŸ’ª |

I do believe they are. Probably not the cheapest way to do it but they come with quite long cables and cuts down the faffing about when fitting them |

Prism are good. At least you know your buying quality there rather than any Chinese E-bay rubbish. Loads on there but I'd not buy any of them. Especially not "Ships from Hong Kong" $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

That's true. I've used Prisms before and they were very reliable. I was given some festoon LEDS from China and used them for the interior lights, I'm quite surprised how long they've lasted

It varies doesn't it but that's the problem. Who wants to buy when it's a lottery as to if they are any good or not. Prism also do some nice quality neon's to both large and small. (I dare say I shall be in trouble for mentioning such things ) $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Mal (K9) - That's more the price I paid on your link. They look good actually all pre-wired already so should be interesting. I was thinking of hooking them up to the interior lighting system seeing as I've got LED's in those already I won't have any issue of exceeding the max current draw for the wiring.
If anyone wants the link to where I got mine I'd happily find it. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ¥ó ®ó §ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó ´ó ¿ðŸ‡®ðŸ‡ªðŸ‡ºðŸ‡¸â›½ï¸ðŸ›¢ï¸âš™ï¸ðŸ§°ðŸ’ª |
