Screen wash brands
Just out of interest what are you using as your brand / type of screen wash? Currently just using Carplan concentrate (blue) that's available from most garages ect. I wouldn't say it was brilliant or awful either way. I notice on Opie oils there is Millers and Gulf as brands but I'm not sure it'd be worth spending £10 on something that might not be any better than I currently use. Any recommendations?

Recently bought some RainX screen wash after reading a couple of things about it. Can't say I'm overly impressed. It's very expensive. It's meant to leave the RainX coating on the screen to repel water so that it beads away quickly. But all I've really found is that it leaves streaks and smears which I haven't had with any other screen wash. Back to big bottles of Halfords own brand for me! 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

I know what you were after and when a brand works well for beading up rain droplets it's brilliant. Trouble is I've never found anything that works as they say it should. Rolling Eyes âï¸âï¸God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 âï¸âï¸

Back in the winter I started using Prestone, as in its concentrated state it works to -23c, so is always ready no matter what the weather. Can't fault it so far, and have made up a nice concentrated batch now Spring's on the way for when I'm running low. Peter

Polish your windscreen with meths - this does the same thing as rain-X.

Comma screen wash (-65c version) worked well in Norway

Your thread reminded me of something..... Laughing

In Germany when I was based there it was actually cheaper and more practical to fill your screenwash bottle with neat vodka than screenwash. Tax-free benefits and shawarmas from 'Jerusalem' Roermond......Happy days.....

In answer to your OP anything I can lay my hands on when I depress the lever and nowt happens, usually from Halfords. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Though if it is really good then it's worth it. Trouble is not all are what they saw they are even at a premium price. âï¸âï¸God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 âï¸âï¸

Not any more! My days of using my Blockbuster card and Pathclear to get rid of the moss and mushrooms are over. No sweating issues either with 720m3/h being blown over it.
