Re the escape hatch, here's some pics... When the weather gets a bit better I'll paint it !
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge It's a straight replacement for the glass version. The panel is slightly curved so that the edges push down into the seal properly, it does seal a lot better than the original sun roof though. The real pity is that when I bought the last one brand new from a Land Rover dealer it cost me around £65, why the cost has gone up so much I have no idea. http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net/ |

We re-fitted the roof tent today, must be nearly summer ! (really, it is...) We used the same technique for getting it back on the roof as we did for getting it off last year, a winch and a couple of strops to make a ramp to the top of the roll cage.... Drive my Defender forwards until the strops go to the ground, put the tent on the workmate, drive my Defender backwards and as the straps tighten they lift the tent off the workmate. Then just push the tent along the straps onto the roof.

The snorkel is the one P&P supplied to match the roll cage, with a Safari top on. Our blog - http://landytravels.com/

Today was anti-corrosion day
Seeing as the sun was out today, the door cards came off and dinitrol applied... next job is a rub down and repaint of the small amount of surface rust on the rear cross member before a full underneath scrub and waxoil. |

Nothing as S.H.M.B.O. banned me from taking the dash apart on the Puma, thats £120.00 down the drain unless I can thing of somewhere else to fit it and get it to work correctly.

Bumper looks great, shame LR can't paint them properly in the first place.
My 110 went in for MOT on Saturday .... past fine, going back in for some paintwork prior to the warranty expiring. Cleaned and stored the SVX alloys and readied the boosts for the new tyres. Still tinkering with the VSR for the engine on feeds. And had a look at a 5 door Evoke ... warming to the idea of having a 3rd land rover |
