Sticking with Bearmach thanks. Their rates are correct, it's just that I like a firm spring and I selected the wrong ones for the front and they have almost no give whatsoever while giving a greater lift than is acceptable. I dislike any form of lift, a new spring or one that is slightly stiffer will give a slight height increase which I am content to live with but I belong firmly in the camp that standard height is correct for me. If it is additional weight that is bringing your vehicle down then surely you should fit a stiffer spring rather than just longer ones otherwise it will be a bit soft & tend to wallow? This is where good shocks pay dividends but I think they would be working overtime and I can't think you would get the best out of them? ONE LIFE, GET IT! |

The reason I was considering extra length not weight is that too much spring weight is the enemy of good articulation, I don't want a lift either, but as I bolt more stuff on you can tell it having an effect. To be fair I get great articulation currently, as my rears pop out from the top mount when fully articulated. |

the only difference is the cups on the rear axle for a td5 onwards surely. nothing else fitting wise is different. Cheers
