That I am not certain of. I had just discovered water ingress under the drivers side rubber floor covering and I am hoping this was the cause.

I'm onto my 3rd screen since September the usual stones chucked up by trucks and busses . Each replacement has had gunk at both the top corners and bottom corners of the frame . The water comes in between the seal and frame but from the top corners and runs down to the bottom corners before coming in where the welded seam is on the frame .

Must look into that then ... just had one of those tropical rain showers here and had water under rubber mat on driver's side.
By the way. borderterrier. What is that stainless steel thing you have mounted on top of your dashboard? Any more pics of that? Looks interesting/useful. Stephan |

Its aluminium and it is used to mount the reversing camera screen, Garmin and my Blackvue recorder which fits inside it

Brilliant idea! If you don't mind, I might make a smaller version to create a mount for the reversing camera screen. Been breaking my head about where and how to mount it ... Never thought of using something like that.
Thanks!! |

Nothing on the Defender but I've removed all the knackered light fittings and wiring from my "Sankey" Trailer. Removed the wheels to find the screws holding on one of the brake drums are totally rusted in place..... WD40 applied, but I think it's going to need more appllications and some heat to shift them....
