With all the different clubs I have been with (not just LRs) you ALWAYS have to have regional meets and maybe an annual meet.
So you have monthly (or quarterly) meets in a local area (South East, South West, Midlands, South Wales, North Wales, North East, North West and then a couple in Scotland). You then have an Annual meet where the regional groups can convoy up (or down). But this one will normally need to be planned over 6 months in advance so people can ensure time off work/ de-conflict with family life etc. Somewhere like Midlands- maybe do a Solihull factory tour as part of the meet, or combine it with a show (Billing or Eastnor Castle)- Saturday meet/ off-road and then Sunday show. Yes, you will NEVER make EVERYONE happy. But an 'Annual meet on the opposite side of the M25 to 80ish% of all the members will MASSIVELY reduce the attendance. With this you can then ask Martin really nicely to add 'regional groups' to the forum where you discuss local meets/ events in the area. As for me, it is a bit far (at the moment). Glyn |

Was very interested when I saw the thread, but when I saw location....sorry as with others it is the wrong side of London for me. For many it would be a day trip for such a meet, but the location doesn't allow that.
Stoneleigh Park would be a good location for something as those who want to camp, can do, and undercover area can be available if required and more importantly could include a convoy trip to Solihull or use Gaydon as a location. |

Its a hard one I think the fairest thing to do would be smack dead in the center of the uk but every will need to be devoted to going. CSK Automotive

Not ideal. You can say that again. Can you imagine the personality clashes involved. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

I have opted for the third option, but only because its the Harrogate show the following weekend, and I can't really spare the time. The distance isn't too much of an issue, but I guess a more central location would be preferable. Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond.....

Well it would be 250 miles for us each way. Distance not the major problem.
However a week before a major show we will be otherwise engaged. Brendan |

Due to not alot of interest we have decided to call this off Perhaps a central meet would be a nice idea on a date which does not clash with shows or are weeks apart CSK Automotive
