After Chris (Ibexman) posted up the get together not many people seemed interested... So after speeking to him we thought it would be good to perhaps arrange a Defender2.net annual meet. It will be a one off meet were hopefully nearly all of you can make it from across the country. As its annually it would be good to have a set date for every year and gradually increase numbers with new members etc.
The postcode for the site is TN15 more details via pm to keep it a little private. It seems to be a very well respectable site with a bar, pool etc. £20 flat rate 2 people caravan or tent for the weekend, day visitors £2.50 at the gate per person payable to park owners. This is non profitable. Will be held on the 10/11/12 MAY Lets see what interest we get and lets hope it kicks off ( All site sponsors welcome - Bring along your stands etc and show off your bits ) Cheers Chris CSK Automotive www.cskautomotive.co.uk Like us on Facebook - www.facebook.com/csklr Follow us on Instagram - @cskautomotive Last edited by Killer90 on 14th Mar 2013 8:40pm. great idea but too far for me
i agree that a central location is required and/or tye-up with a show to make it a bit more viable. just a thought how about tying it into a lre day similar to one set up by james from hadleys or a trip to the factory? |

Sorry, but as others have said, location is too far south. It is also the wrong side of London, meaning even more awkward to get to. Considering the number of D2 members in Scotland and northern England (including some major site sponsors) a location somewhere just north of the Midlands with easy access from Motorway network would be ideal.....
..... the date is 1 week before the Spring Adventure at Harrogate. Pretty central. Some site sponsors and D2 people already going. Seems ideal for a D2 meet.... We are hoping to have a club stand there, so any D2 bods come along and see us (Yorkshire Off Road Club)! Only 25 miles or so for us.
Makes a change from the usual 3 figure distances. |

We're in (me and the birthday boy!). Have cancelled my registration on the other thread
I do take folks views about it too far etc but the problem with all these type of things is its always too far for somebody, or it will clash with something else, or the planets aren't properly aligned blah blah.... You can't please all the people all the time. Am happy to volunteer some brown'ish, red and white camping juice to complement (hopefully if he still up for it) Lish's BBQ delights. If anyone else is into Geocaching, looks like a friendly twenty or so cache series on a six mile loop walk, part of it through the campsite. That will be our mission for part of the Saturday weather permitting and folk are welcome to join us Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless. |
