Having never looked at the light assembly, I presume that the non manual level mechanism adjusts the position of the bulb in the lense assembly, whereas the manual method is a case of one getting a screwdriver out Question

whooppps! Didnt quite read your post correctly. im guessing you have a xs spec with electric level adjust? It still might pay to give devon a call and ask.

These are what you want, ive fitted loads of sets.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/7-WIPAC-CRYSTAL-Halo...35a5fc8b2e

They are a good bunch of lads at "BoltOnBits" and they do all the main landrover shows so if you ever have a problem they will sort it.

But remember when ordering tell them that you are putting HID's in because they do a special HID type light with a cover over the front of the HID bulb to stop glare. and tell him if you need or dont need the side lights built in.

Speak with Ian on 01274 869955 and tell him i sent you and you are from the forum he should give you some discount, they should work out less than on Ebay anyway because you dont need the H4's that are in that auction.

for LHD Defender users

They are only the headlamp reflectors, you must use the retaining structure still installed on your Defender (frame, electric motor for level regolation, ecc)

I have it (they WIPAC, they are the same of the SVX) and I'm waiting this one

from www.xenonlamp.it

I bought several times from xenonlamp, he has very good product.

I installed a HID kit on my BMW R1200GS (2004) and now the same kit is installed on my K1200R.

This kit has 5 years, more or less 130.000km (70.000 km on GS, 35.000 on my 1st K1200R and 25.000km on the last K1200R and it is still perfect..............

Interesting.
Interesting read Fekete, HID headlamps unless fitted as standard are obviously a 'grey area' when it comes to fitting them and conforming to legislation. My question is thus: When I myself was looking at spotlights venturing into HID territory and the cost nearly trippled! Are HID headlamp upgrades just as costly? Does the benefit of fitting HID upgrades outweigh upgrading bulbs or fitting a decent set of auxillary driving/spotlights? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!
