Well I have been allowed to drive the white 90 Razz

Ride quality? Must admit I prefer the 110's as the ride in them appear to be smoother.

The mods have started, first mods were some protection including a full waxoyl Thumbs Up

Rock and Tree sliders from Safari Equip (hot dipped galv followed by powder coat) They soon earned their keep. Yes supermarket car park and someone who does not realise that if you open a car door against a tree slider the door will come off worse Whistle

Found the big reel of anti slip tape in the unit. Sliders were cold, wet and dirty so dried and cleaned the sliders off, using hot air gun. Applied the anti slip tape, then warmed it up with hot air gun and used a wallpaper roller.

Note did not take tape around the oudside edge. Will save my jeans and calf muscles if it ever gets warm and dry enough to wear shorts again.

Also fitted a Nakatanenga glove box

It is a while since have posted on this thread.

Black 09 puma 110 has had occassional issues with eengine management system going into limp home mode Got recovered by RAC when towing a full trailer. Main dealer decided it was a faulty expansion tank cap. Replaced foc as still under warranty.

Last month towing an empty trailer down motorway EMU kept going into limp mode cutting power then picking up again. Got recovered to main dealer. Out of warranty, needed new head gasket! LR stumped up half of labour cost but it still cost £££s

So if your EMU goes into limp home mode and main dealer can not tell you exact cause get them to check head gasket. Get it noted on records!

This weekend being playing out in the red 110 Thumbs Up

Got volunteered by a certain person Razz to set out local club RTV

Saturday was a cold day with snowy periods. The suspension system certainly got a good work out Thumbs Up

On the way home come across a car on its roof. Big question how the hell did they manage that on a reasonably straight roof.

Sunday morning dawned with a good covering of snow and various locks iced up Big Cry . Trial site was however clear of snow.

Certain competition entrants decided not to brave te elements but those who did enjoyed themselves.

Currently the red 110 300 TDi is sat at 204k miles. Not racked up a lot of miles on it recently. Must admit I do have a soft spot for the red 110. OK it is not in concours conditions, is nosier, slower, uncomfortable in comparison to the Pumas, however in some respects still my favourite Thumbs Up

Actually on Sunday it was borrowed to recover a Hilux (Hilux owner was arguing it needed recovering due to it being on road tyres! Laughing Whistle ) If felt odd seeing it been driven by someone else across the moors
