Not generally aggressive though are they? Is it dependent on the time of year like with Stags? |

Elk can be very aggressive. When I was based in Banff they used to come into town overnight and sleep by the buildings and in doorways. Nothing unusual to open the front door in the morning and find an Elk blocking your way. Asked the locals about it and they all said there was a very easy answer - leave by the back door or wait until it had gone. Moose are more placid except in the rutting season. At that time of year you had to keep well clear of the stags. Both are damn big, I would not pick a fight with either of them, beautiful creatures though Bob 2015 Jaguar XE240 R Sport - goes like ....... !! 2013 Defender 90 CSW - sold 2009 Defender 110 Double Cab - sold 2001 TD5 90 CSW - offroad project - sold to a forum member 2011 Porsche Boxster - for the sunny days ! |

Spent a lot of time in the Rockies and Colorado researching both. Moose have an amazing lifestyle and are the most incredible creatures. When you first meet one face to face you suddenly realise what a majestic animal they are - just make sure you don't meet one face to face in the rutting season Ever since then I seem to have adopted them in one way or another, we have quite a few stuffed (toy !) versions in the house now The winking MOOSE avatar could almost be like meeting one, they stare you out and then just wander off, I have never seen one wink before walking away though Elk are just ..... like giant deer but not as friendly. I would love the spare one for the new 90 Steve Bob 2015 Jaguar XE240 R Sport - goes like ....... !! 2013 Defender 90 CSW - sold 2009 Defender 110 Double Cab - sold 2001 TD5 90 CSW - offroad project - sold to a forum member 2011 Porsche Boxster - for the sunny days ! |

internal flash .. raw files are 47MB converted to JPG much more forum friendly. In the end I took a Nikor 28-300 (FX) .. i was sent some Nikon vouchers for lenses, flash guns etc that last a year, so i can take my time choosing what i need. I'll be bringing it to the next meet.
