Wrong spec
My recently delivered Puma a 90 XS station wagon, was accidentally ordered with the wrong wheels by the dealership. They ordered it with the heavy duty steel wheels. They kindly put it back to the standard boost and continental wheel option before delivery and were very apologetic (great service BTW will post a review later).

I just have one question, would speccing the steel wheels have any other knock on affect to the rest of the spec such as a lack of anti roll bars etc?

Many thanks

Have a look mate and check. I wouldn't have thought that the wheels influence anything else though

An xs would come with anti roll bars as standard. A county or below on the standard steels could come without anti roll bars but if you spec the lower model with heavy duty rims then it comes with anti roll bars. Well they have done on all the ones I've ever ordered in various specs . Yours should be fine.

Look at the folders, you'll notice there's a difference between steel and alloys. I think they have different shocks, but not 100% sure

Hmmm Defender specs are notoriously unreliable, best way to check is to get underneath and have a look!

Anyone able to post a picture of them on a Puma 90 please? As mine does not seem to have them, however I may be being a little stupid.

Right confirmed. No anti roll bars in place, rather miffed. Hopefully a simple fix. Only problem is now living 250 miles away from the supplying dealer Whistle.
