Finished moving the ECU and fuse box out from under the seat... I knew it would be OK but was still a relief when it fired up again afterwards !

Swapped the LHD crystal headlights back to RHD Crystals... just the snow cowl to come off and that's all the trip kit off.
Cookers, Lanterns, recovery gear etc all cleaned and oiled, and put away ready for the next trip. |

Busy times,
Repaired TJM bumper indicator lights..... any TJM owners will know how bad quality/ design the OE ones are. Finished welding and started spraying the rear upper and lower spring adaptor mounts. Fabricated new bracket for the african-outback tub cover. Decided to manufacture it from alloy rather than the original steel. Took a member (old boy) of the Cyprus LR club for a guided tour of the base and took him into his old section which he hasn't seen for over 40 years........ and it still had the same desk in the office!! It does make me think being here in the late 60's/ early 70's would have been so much more awesome- 2 Vulcan bomber squadrons, a lightning squadron, Herc squadron and a search and rescue helicopter squadron- must have been awesome- now we just have the S&R helicopter squadron. Well the annoying tinny intermittent noise stopped this afternoon now replaced with a wonderful vibratory grinding noise The damned de-cat pipe has broken again, score another one for Harmer exhausts. This is the second in just under 12 months, they've both lasted around the same length of time but no skin off my nose apart from the hassle of dropping the centre cross member as all I had to do, was go round to my neighbour and tell him the good news and he's bringing me a replacement home by Friday

Click image to enlarge Fitted new reverse lights. My Defender isn't from Stratstone, its just an interim cover. I wouldn't buy a trim fastener from Stratstone |
