I have just received the paper work;
001 NSF Headlamp aim to high [1.8].... okay, I can adjust this.... although I never get flashed by oncoming vehicles. 002 OSF Headlamp aim beam image obviously incorrect. [1.8.A.2] I have a drawing showing the pattern, apparently my headlamps show () () and it should look like this |____ There is some condensation in the OSF lamp glass but I never thought it would ruin the beam. I've had mine mot'd no problem at all, in fact the mot guy commented on how good the beam pattern was.

Can't comment on the problem you're having but I do know that Tim from Mobile Centre has been very poorly since before Christmas and is only now starting to deal with enquiries from his sick bed, I'm sure he'll be back to you very shortly

Who fitted the headlights and did they fit them correctly and align them?

When I fitted mine myself I just took the old ones out and fitted the JWS without moving the adjusters and they were spot on MOT time.

Thanks for all replies, sorry that Tim is not so well. Hope he's back fit asap.
MOT failed usual stuff, rear shocker bushes and wiper blades. Bushes can be done before warranty expires in two weeks. I fitted the lamps myself, it's a straight forward replacement job and then took them over to a mate that run's his own MOT business and he tested them, he advised they were some of the best lamps he had seen. Very clean cut off and ultra bright. So for them fail an MOT just two years later was a bit alarming. I will replace them with the old units to get a pass and will try Tim to see about warranty replacement. As my 110 is nearly out of warranty I decided it was best to let the stealer do the MOT, and pick up any warranty jobs. Typical they fail lights that are aftermarket and the best upgrade you can put on your vehicle in my opinion. |

The Speaker 8700 are fully road legal in the UK.
It appears that the MOT failed the headlights on their aim rather then on them being not OEM. Our 110 has passed its MOT with the 8700 fitted no problem. Condensation in LED lights can occur. They are typically fitted with a Goretex type filter. This allows the light unit to breathe. Given the correct weather conditions the lights should dry themselves out. Brendan |

You don't say why the lights were failed... or did I miss that bit ???
I'm assuming it wasn't alignment as changing them won't fix that. http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net/ |
