Steve, I think the answer to that is definitely no. There have been quite a few threads in the past saying exactly that, the LEDs run so cool that they do not melt snow as well as standard Halogens which run much warmer.
If you want to still install them before your arctic expedition, take a towel to wipe them clear regularly ![]() Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

I should be able to answer that (minus 10 recently with heavy snow) but I didn't look, probably because I didn't notice ice and snow being a problem. Just a wipe before setting off...
It is obvious when the LEDs get dirty though - unlike the old ones (which never really looked as though they were switched on). Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |
