Take it back and invite the Workshop Manager out for a 10 mile run and show him directly what the issue appears to be. Seems very strange/unlucky two seperate vehicles with similar issues. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Reconnect the switch before they see it. Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |

Hi Steve and guys
Car has been back to the dealership and Service Manager has driven it and experienced a number of factors that will hopefully all relate to the one problem. 1. excessive travel on accelerator before anything happens 2. when it does start to work it snatches (like it is missing first section of revs) 3. Impossible to hold at constant revs ( not much use off road) 4. the question of the over run facility , why do the revs vary between changes so much 1500rpm to over 2000rpm They have sent a report to Land Rover and now are waiting a reply ! Strange thing is it drove perfect , no issues for the first 400miles , so something has changed. Cheers Ken. |
