Hello,
Sounds like it is an ECU for a discovery, you cannot buy early type ecu new anymore. If it is a later type ecu then it will need reprogramming with an EU2 map for a defender. This is the limit of my knowledge I am afraid, post up the number of the ecu. Someone will be here shortly to tell you exactly what needs doing. Steve ![]() |

They have only programed the injector codes and learnt the security, they need to reprogram the ecu calibration to match the old EU2 engine for the Defender and not the later EU3 discovery which is a factory installed calibration on a new ecu.
In a nut shell they have only done half a job ![]() Assuming you have now got a NNN500020 ecu it will need a calibration like, NNW501340 STHLE 022 STTLP 010 European Defender 90 No Aircon Pete |

Really not sure. I'm not sure what it does in the programing of the ecu. A nanocom will do it if you have acess to one.
