Pre-2002 actually, but you're right. Older ones were a free splined fit, but a parallel spline. The newer ones use a tapered spline held by the nut, as a result it will be a pain to get off. Give it some gentle wiggling via the arm. Just don't snap the shaft off! |

I can see the spigot has a very fine spline to it.
Does the circular hole on the arm have a spline pattern to receive it Ie. going to be a ![]() |

Take the nut off and then put a few drops of 'Plusgas' on the splines. Leave overnight and it will come off with no effort at all. If you don't have 'Plusgas' then a few drops of diesel will also work, but it will take a little longer to penetrate.
