PS.
What exactly did the Kelp Gatherers do with the Kelp they gathered? If you think my explanation of my Avatar was sick I have another story about a female companion replacement consisting of a tin of Heinz Alphabet Shapes and a childs swimming armband under the edge of a mattress. He was from up North!!! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

K9F - struggling to think of too many of HM's aircraft based in Dorset since Portland became nothing more than a parking slot for that tart's handbag of a AW-139. Rockley and the Frogs don't have anything based there.... do you nip over the border to Yeovilton?
I'm a healthy sling of a handful of gravel from both Bovington and Lulworth (shiny armour, broken armour, oily armour.....) myself, although due to a self preservation streak a mile wide I've never felt the urge to get shot at for a living myself. Hence my chosen career in Financial Services...... respectable, heh? 54 Freelander modded for mud 2008 D3 SE 2010 90 XS SW 1978 88 Series 3 undergoing surgery with a new owner 2007 90 County Truck Cab - gone 2006 D3 SE - gone 2004 Freelander Sport - gay 1999 Disco V8 ES rotted to bits |

I travel to Wiltshire and live in the 'Mess' from Monday - Friday and then return to the Hen and Stag capital that is the jewell (or rather one of them) in the South Coast. Got friends that live in the Purbecks and quite often in the Winter am in West Dorset fossilling (sad I know, but I love it). Hell Willy and Fekete would probably categorise me as being French! Just to keep it on track - I paid £345 for first service - Main Dealer. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! We love the South, Dorset Parts of Cornwall Devon It's just getting through the badlands to get there that puts us off.
So around £325, I'm booked in on the 23rd for the safety recall and software upgrade so i'll get a price then. Original Member Pie n Pea Club. 110 HCPU Tipper |

Then I suspect you may have come across one of the Disco3 members, Darren (AKA Dazzad). Drives a silver 55(?) plate D3 with spots and A-bar. He's a C130 jockey's assistant - 47Sqn I think? I can sometimes be found in Barnmuff, although I avoid it if I can. Spent 7 long years living in the ghetto of Charminster before starting my slow move West...... Oh yeah, costs of servicing... about £325 from Yeovil Land Rover if I remember correctly 54 Freelander modded for mud 2008 D3 SE 2010 90 XS SW 1978 88 Series 3 undergoing surgery with a new owner 2007 90 County Truck Cab - gone 2006 D3 SE - gone 2004 Freelander Sport - gay 1999 Disco V8 ES rotted to bits |

Thanks for the info. Good news as they're not far from me! Out of interest have you had any warranty work by JE since you used Deeside 4 x 4? I was just wondering if they were at all sniffy about this!!!!!! |

Ahh happy days spent a year in 'The Charm', got out alive and moved to Westbourne, back in early 90's. The local in W bourne(Older Thumper, I think) was much nicer than The Fiveways(AgainI think it was called). Full of Dreads and Pit bulls but did have a NMA track on the duke box.
Sorry what was the thread about!!!!!!!! Oh yes service cost, sorry can't remember |

Bloody hell, my local was the Fiveways. From 91 to 99 I lived about 400 yards away in the 4th of the 5 ways ( Rutland Road) and spent manya night in there. Definitely a "fighting" pub As for Westbourne, I worked there during much of the same period and frequented the Porterhouse (Ringwood brewery Old Thumper) most lunchtimes if I wasn't in the Wesbourne drinking Stella.

I live in the midlands so I'll sit on the fence
Mine's in for its 24k service tomorrow (only done 14k in 2 years, though). I'll see what they charge. GULP One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |

Its a very small world Nodosh!! We lived in the mock Spanish villa in Charminster Road. We always had a issues with which pub in Wbourne, 6 lads 1 house, so we used both of those pubs. The more conventional lads could never got the PorterHouse, blooody great pub, that was my fav pub and The Pit club on a saturday which I think was nearer Boscombe.

Markalpha,
Smaller than you think, been chatting to Nodo$h 'pm' route. I live not far from the Broadway Pub, used to have a flat in Wellington Road (used to be a regular at the Shah of Persia in Poole) and to cap it all used to be at Marham in the early 80's so Downham Market used to be a bit of an old stamping ground! Spent a great deal of time in Kings Lynn especially on market day as in that era market day was the only day the pubs would stay open. Regular attendee now of the Crown Pub (used to be called The Crown and Sceptre) usually on a Friday. Happy Days! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |
