I can't imagine ever expecting or even thinking of asking my husband to de-ice and warm up my car for me.

Some women just need to 'man-up.'
Rolling Eyes Thumbs Up

Apart from just the time it takes to de-ice / de-mist I can't understand people wanting to leave the engine running to warm the car up before setting off. What a waste of fuel. Put a coat on, gloves and hat and shed them as you get warm on the journey.

In any case my td5 takes at least 20 minutes to warm up and it does that quicker when travelling at 40-50mph... sat in the drive it would take hours!

I've said it before and I'll say it again.... heated windscreens are brill! Our blog - http://landytravels.com/

My husband is in bed when I get up and go to work (I go at 7.15 and he works from home). I don't think it would be very nice or loving of me to let him get out of bed, get dressed, sort my car out while I sat around on my arse in the warmth indoors.

If he did it voluntarily I wouldn't be thinking "oh how much he must love me!" but "what the f is he needing to feel guilty about" Laughing

It is enough that he builds lovely Land Rovers for me every few years, I think. And fixes them when they need fixing.

I have been known to de-ice his car for him though. Works both ways....

Love is....

Back in the days when I had a Rayburn cooker, I used to put a brick from an old night storage heater (fitted with a wired on wooden handle) in the top oven every night.
Get up and dressed, put brick in Landy, have breakfast, go to work in nice warm defrosted car Very Happy

Damned typical, wait for days for a parcel to arrive so this morning check up on the tracking website, just the same as before, "Your parcel is in our system" so think Censored it and go and do those little jobs that have been nagging for days. You get home and there's the note on the doormat; "You were out so your parcel couldn't be delivered........" Evil or Very Mad

Agree with the last post.

Parcel tracking, what a joke, might as well not bother looking.
