my "new" diff is making that same grinding noise. The old one never used to Puma 110 sw White

it could need setting up properly to much back lash perhaps 2.4 90 XS 1968 1/32 scale Britains 109 Pick up. |

It's the rear propshaft,nothing serious if you can stand the noise.The only cure is to change it with a TD5's one (from the "SALISBURY" rear Diff model). NOT A TRANSIT

I get this noise too. Can't say if it is less noticeable on a bend, but if this were the case it could indicate a diff.
Mine does it especially on a long journey when backing off the throttle between 100 - 120kph. It won't do it below 100kph. Comes from the centre/front. I have told the dealer who claims not to be able to hear it. Austen Rover 12 1935 Rover 20 1940 Rover 100 1960 Defender TDC1 2008 FL2 TD4 2008 |
