When I got home from the dealer today, I noticed an oil drip from the radiator area.
On closer inspection I noticed the new steering box, the drag links, chassis etc full of some or other oil. Either they never cleaned their mess when replacing the box or something is leaking but I can't see where. I did notice a strange nipple/pipe just in front of the power steering box and is atached to the radiator. There is no hose nearby as if one has been left off. Any ideas from the snap's below? Wife took her back this morning so they cleaned up the mess and confirmed that all is ok. They ran out of time when they promised the car to be ready yesterday and never cleaned the area.
Turns out they also checked the service bulletin for oil on the hand break and changed the felt washer to the revised one. They have done this before when I had the leak but maybe the washer has been revised - who knows. Total cost of repairs courtesy Land Rover £1,254 Puma 110 - gone Series III 1973 - going strong |
