Hi guys
Any of you know what colours are which for re wiring the towing socket? Ive bought a new kit as old one was passed it. Colours i have on new one are: White Brown Green + Black Red + Black White + Black Red + Grey Black + Grey Grey looks a little purple! I know the standard coulours but cant find any info about this. Make on the cover of the socket is Con Wys.if that helps? Cheers Wil |

It has the part to plug in to the landrover but its not wired to the socket to which you put the plug in. I bought it from Swansea 4x4 so don't know if it is pattern etc. doesn't say whether it is or not a genuine and no instructions either

I did this yonks ago and noted it down somewhere/ Will try to look it out but will be tomorrow. You'd think they'd be standardised.

It's not standard wiring colours - either Land Rover or generic 7 pin

Ah, sorry I can't help you as my car is 03 90 and the vehicle wiring colouring will be different between mine and yours. I did do this on my ex RAF 90 years ago but again the wiring colouring would be even more different. Sorry.

Pin numbers are for a 7 pin 12N connector. Colour Function Pin # ====================================== White Fog Light 2 Brown Earth 3 Green + Black RH Indicator 4 Red + Black Brake Lights 6 White + Black LH Indicator 1 Red + Grey RH Side Light 5 Black + Grey LH Side Light 7 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Martin you are a landrover god!
 I've spent hours on google trying to find something.
Ill get on it next, I think I paid about £25 ish. Thank god I've still got my D3! Many thanks for the help guys! |
