Tell me about it. Short day length, work to do and sometimes poor weather. A job that would normally take a day can take a week. Sad NEVER SURRENDER! ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

Bad but has a plus side - You know you're not going to get it finished, so you take you're time and do it properly. Then with the passing years you don't look at it and think If Only I'd !!!!!!

Replaced diff and transfer case oils. It's only got 16k miles under its wheels but had been used on shoots so thought it would be good to do. Front Diff oil came out grey, rear dark brown and transfer case like dark honey but seemed a bit thin. Diffs were easy but the filler plug on the xfer case was awkward and filling from the 1 litre oil cans tricky as the fill neck wasn't long enough to reach hole past the park brake and cable :/ . Old can wilth longer spout came to the rescue but with added pleasure of very slow flow rates. Gearbox next on the list but not until I sort out a better means for filling. 2023 110 P400e

I bought an oil syringe for doing this. It was a draper one and made the job a lot easier, all be it a bit messier too as the oil forced its way past the top seal and dribbled down my arms!

Yesterday fitted Defenderdors to the 90 and 110 plus restraining straps so i don't leave them at the petrol station.

Attacked the 90's gutter and roof seal with Captain Tolleys. The worst area was the join where the slope meets the flat on the curve on the drivers side. I think a fair amount of water could have got in via the gap.

Was going to repeat the treatment today but we have fog and light drizzle.

Did a whole bunch of lanes in the Peaks.... The early start was worth it for the sunrise alone.
Luismi, thanks for making the trip worthwhile , I will be getting the photo's done this evening, not as many taken as you though Wink

You know, we did loads of gnarly lanes, with standard suspension, anti-roll-bars, side steps etc etc.

Great day.

Finished the noise proofing, fitted the carpets back and they still fitted no need to adjust anything.
Fitted back board to mount the Amp, painted it black first then a little foam to absorb vibration. Couldn't find the fixing and I had every other size Big Cry it's tie wrapped for now. Replaced the speakers and fitted new head unit, just need to read the manual Whistle Whistle
Fitted dual USB charger and put the seats back. _______________________________

Got some sides for my Hannibal awning so had a trial fitting this weekend. Really nice bit of shelter that is quick to put up and down.

The picture does not show it but it's a 2.4m awning on a Defender 90. I plan on getting a 4th wall made up to fill in the gaps and also draughts from under the vehicle.
