Space Problem for a tall person. How to solve the problem?
I need some good advice from a tall person.
I have test driven Defender 90 2.4 L and the SVX, and 110 2.4 L. My problem is that I do not have the support of the thigh on the seat because I sit too close to the pedals. I know the "Seat Riser" from Exmoor, but it does not provide much extra space (?).
What have you, who is 190cm, made to fit in a Defender?

I'm 1.9m as well and am fine in our 110 sw. Perhaps it's something you just get used to? Have you thought about Mud Rails by Mudstuff? They'll give you several cm more distance from the pedals.

Either that or stop driving in high heels! Rolling with laughter Thumbs Up

Mud Rails are the way to go, 30mm higher and up to 100mm further back.

On commercial models you also need to remove the bulkhead (they do a kit for this) see below.

I'm 185cm tall and don't have to have the seat all the way back, a friend is 196cm tall and he can drive his wife's 90 Hard Top with the same modification as mine no problems.

In Denmark it is illegal to remove (or change) the bulkhead. I must also agree to have a "grating" behind the seat in the vertical extension of the bulkhead. This determines the fee to the State.
It's probably for the reason that the MUD Danish distributor does not mention a word about the bulkhead.

How many mm can the seat positioning come further back without moving the bulkhead?

PS
thanks for already received answers

I'm 198cm and use the Mudrail, it's still tight on room though, you just have to get used to it.
I don't think there would be any point in using Mudrails in a vehicle that has a bulkhead in place, as the seats already hit the bulkhead at max extension.

Land Rover obviously anticipated this. In some markets they offer a special procedure to accommodate tall people. It is called an "LDS" or "leg deletion service" and has a part code of 'ch0p1t0ut'.

Obviously they only remove a small section of the lower leg to reduce you to the dwarf-like status of a 'standard' defender driver. Measured in LRU (Land Rover Units) you reach 1.7 LRU (around 170 cm). I think they also offer a knuckle and elbow deletion service for access around the steering wheel. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS

Is there not a new product out from exmoor trim that extends the seat's range?

Exmoor make a set of seat risers, they raise the seat by 40mm on the lowest setting and about 60mm on the highest.

I had two sets fitted in my 110 with the standard LR seats. I have taken them out for now as they don't fit the Exmoor Le Mans seats ?? !!

If I remember correctly, Sonic said he tried to fit the Exmoor Risers in a 90 on Friday and he had all sorts of problems and I think he gave up.
