Mileage 23456 (& 300 miles to tank)! Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

Bought some boxes for the new planned storage setup in the rear load area from Screwfix, and set about lining the back with soundproofing but ran out a short way into the job. Guess I'd better buy some more, the job will have to wait for the end of the month now then it seems
Oh and did a service yesterday, engine oil and all the filters. Total cost £40 Next one due at 183,357 miles |

I fitted a waeco heated seat kit. Just need to put the elements in the backrest tomorrow and it will be finished.
I will try to put a write up in the td5 section at some point Jim |

Good man this is on my list of things to do this year so a write up will help me no end. Did you use the switches that came with the kit or oe Landrover switches? Cheers Ray |

Having massive withdrawal symptoms, so had a cheeky look around a tidy 51 plate Td5 this morning... then my sensible side took over and went and bought an Astra

Picked my 110 up from the local main dealers (Lancasters) with a nice new alternator fitted and and a wash and interior valet carried out Top marks for service again
Dragged the OH away from an Ewok in the showroom after looking at a new 110 Utility - I do like the fact they don't fit carpet to the new models but use that decent rubber matting stuff, much more practical. John http://www.hampshire4x4response.co.uk 2011 Tdci 110 CSW XS |

An impending house move means my Sankey trailer was put to good use again today taking rubbish to the tip:
Click image to enlarge The new house comes with a big double garage, which will give me the space to refurbish and probably re-body this trailer, as it is rather battered. It does the job though Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? Awning/Kitchen tested on the drive, deployed and stowed in less than 3 minutes, but it's not cold yet.
Opened up a couple of LED lights from Jason, these are extra LED bars for the trip. He's doing another group if anyone is interested. Still waiting for a couple of electronic goodies to arrive from the USA .. more about that later. and, alternator from the 90, that died on the plains last weekend is now fixed - £13 |
