No, but at under a fiver for a new one I'm not sure it'd be worth the effort.

Thanks Darren, just found the extensive thread on this forum regarding striker. Having ruined a pair of L.v.s by getting the rear pocket caught 'mid jump' and ripping the a..e for 6ins (the pocket stitching survived intact) , also ruining the seat belt I'm sorely tempted by these. I love shiney stuff too (but not overdone a la SVX, Rage Rover etc etc) and hate rust/staining. Just off to have a can of Carlsb... Extra to lessen the guilt at ordering them and ease the wallet opening. Cheers.!!!

Bought yesterday, received today, fitted today (one side a little bit fiddly - needed shims).
And now, solid thunk, no bounce back and no springing open in transit when I go over bumps! 2001 TD5 110 DCPU in Bonatti Grey |

It's amazing how often and how long we put up with seemingly unfathomable faults only to look through these pages and find out that someone somewhere has cured them ages ago, and so simply. This and other similar websites are so invaluable. Three cheers!!!

Hi Chipmunk, I have had the very same problem for as long as I have had this 02 plate 110, infuriating problem to have. This is what I did: http://forum.landrovernet.com/content.php/...How-to-Fix - and it worked a treat. Have a go before you spend any hard earned. Good luck. |

Hi Geo', thanks for that. Again a very comprehensive answer. I tried some of the cures involving the striker itself but to no avail. This looks like it will be the answer and I'll try it when the hail and snow stops long enough to do it. My passenger door doesn't get used enough I think, and maybe the latch lock is seizing due to that lack of use. I'll report back. Many thanks for the info and trouble taken.
Cheers.....hic! |
