Today I say goodbye!
Not forever, but my insurance runs out tonight and I can't afford to re-new, they want £750! Shocked Big Cry

Yep! If it was my insurance on my own it would be at least £1800! I hate the way insurance works, its just if your a certain age AND MALE then your Censored basically! What can I sy tho, been driving 6 months with no no claims! Still Censored though! Ben

That is my dad as main driver. Problem is, I'm 17, got "no" driving experience (learnt to drive when I was 12 FFS) and insurance on two cars. The Fiesta is cheaper to run though, so it wins hands down at the moment! But I might be changing jobs soon, and can start tesco dot com driving in July so I can afford to be back in the Defender again! Other problem is that I work in a licensed restaurant at the moment! Ben

Thud So you're not insured then. That's known as "fronting" and will result in your, sorry, your dad's insurance being cancelled if you have an accident. Dont want this to turn into a boring discussion and loads of pointless posts like the D3 site but. I can remember years ago when trying to get insurance on a V8 P1, this insurance company advised me to put the car in my mums name insure it as my mums car and name me as a driver.
