They left me my alarm box, door lock and ignition barrel on the drive all placed nicely as some sort of trophy to say look what we can do.
Car was behind 2 sets of gates so think they jumped the fence got car ready to go then opened the gates rolled it out of drive and down the road before starting it. Only just missed them as dogs want mental as gates opened. Then we flew out of bed to look out to see gates open and no landy. Dialled 999 straight away they were here in 5 mins so hopefully the police stand a good chane of catching them. Told us it was red alert and they were out in Wakefield Barnsley and Sheffield looking for it. |

I really feel for you. For all we gripe about our Landy's, I looked through the window and was really pleased to see mine on the drive following your post. Good luck, keep us posted.

I know its a bit late but do you recon one of these would have hampered them with the ignition barrel?

Sorry to her that, and Zi hope you get it back ok.
If they really knew what they were doing they would have left all of this intact. Unfortunately Defenders are really easy to take. As above a few security mods to make it harder/create noise in removing all help. Cheers Steve |

Really sorry to hear of your loss, and especially disturbed since it was a Puma. Can you explain what you mean by your "alarm box"? Do you mean the Lucas 10AS unit? Was your vehicle fitted with the battery backed alarm sounder? I hope that it is recovered soon and as undamaged as can be hoped for, and that the thieving scum are caught and given appropriate treatment. |

Unfortunately, this doesn't help as they often cut the wires to your horn first. In addition to adding products like suggested above, it's also good to... Move horn from behind headlight to a different location, preferably out of site from an open bonnet. Move ODBII connector from on top of seat box to inside seat box. Lock seat boxes with security bolts Again it's not going to stop a determined theif, but it may deter, slow down etc |

Interesting piece of kit! I'd be interested in some feedback too! Anything to stop the toe-rags. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |
