I was considering fitting a P&P external roll cage to my utility when I get it and the main reason for it is-
I caravan so rooftop tent will be unlikely and we have the 110 TD5 with frontrunner rack if it was neccessary. The only thing I will be transporting regularly will be a open canoe which would surely secure to the roll cage, I think it will add to the looks of the vehicle and the cost is similar to a hannibal rack. Are there any major reasons why not to go for the roll cage |

looking good.
I am considering p+p too, I want a roof rack but they are expensive. Thinking of going this route and incorporating something to use as a rack. Did you fit this yourself? Steve |

Looks great, nice to see it on a black vehicle, because it looks stunning on markalpha's white ute
The snorkle though, it looks like you made a big hole in your wing top for it? and where does the arial fit now |

They may be a bit pricey (although nothing compared to safety devices) but they don't rust within a month due to bad coatings. yeah, fitted it myself. pretty easy really, especially as i was building the 110 at the time anyway.
it's actually epsom metallic green, just looks dark in that light. yes. i cut a hole through the top of the wing, just so it wasn't exposed on the side where it could get damaged. i fitted my aerial on the back of the cage (next to the coily CB antenna) although it would normally go where the snorkel is. |

Steve talk to P and P about mesh on top of the roll cage, works a treat! No need for a rack!

Thats what I'm thinking about thanks. Hey Jim, does it need welding, I'm good at cutting and bolting but no welding. Steve |

The full cage looks very cool much better than just the front cage.

Both sound ok, it is not a huge problem but you do get water marks on the roof section above the front doors and as mine is white it really shows up.

Jim, Did you go with the internal roll bar? We just had Dan fit a cage to a vehicle we just finished for an American Client, I will try and post pics tomorrow. We normally get Dan Evans To fit our cages and we can also supply their cages. Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |
