There are quite a few newer Defenders in the USA under a false identity - companies 'ring them' with an older V5.

Take a look at Berkshire Landrovers website sometimes Rolling Eyes

As an example this is one of their 1985 models Rolling with laughter

It's meant to be finished the end of this coming week, but I don't think that'll be the case. Hopefully I'm on the road the middle of the following week.

That sounds like a cool trip would love to do that. Is the defender being kitted out for overland with accommodation & cooking, fridge equipment etc.

Not much to show.. They've started on the dual battery today and they finished the inner bits of the roll cage, but one of my decals was printed the wrong size so it needs to be redone and the outer roll cage is being kept off until that's applied on wednesday.

I threw on the first decal just to give everyone an idea:

Looking at Wednesday now, not too bad. Still haven't sorted out insurance though. Every UK carrier is giving me a hard time because I'm not a resident and the overland company can't insure me in the vehicles country of register. My Travel Page
