Early days for me in the NAMBS DH

Kinesis DH1 with some semi homebrewed forks and a very early Hope disc.

Brief run on an "exworks" Animal B17 which then became my XC bike!

And had a DH8 as a race bike.

Went up from the 2.2" to 3" tyres and found that pinch punchures finally were a thing of the past. Very Happy

After I stopped DHing had a few bits left over and so after about 8 years of commuting on an old hack hardtail managed to get enough parts to build a bit of fun bike.

Bitch on the climbs but a good laugh. Someday will reframe onto a nice steel frame. DMR 24er or similar appeals.

Too right! I've a couple of mates still DHing (it's far too mental these days for me) and the entry fees are comparable with Historic Rallies and Comp Safari's!!!

I'll stick to competing on 4 wheels these days. Well 3 or even 2 sometimes but you get the idea. Very Happy 90XS Tdci John Eales

Killer v, that's when Cannondale were exotic!

I'm just having my single speed custom painted. I'll get pictures up when built. I've ordered a Thomson titanium bar as well for it (scary money) Mr. Green

And I did a down hill run on it too with no suspension.......Ok I fell off a few times and was way off the pace but I was the only non suspension bike doing it....therefore I won my class..... Rolling with laughter

like it....

c17 years back I had a beautifl metalic blue cannondale I built up from frame / forks (beast of the east). campag record brakes, xt, synchros and titanium bits - fantastic solid yet very light bike.

then it got nicked.

f___ing scum bags ! Evil or Very Mad

not compared my latest to too many similar bikes but compared to alot of bikes for the money I paid for this I'd say it exotic by comparison ..... but then I'm biased. Very Happy

bit of a shame as I need to sort the brakes out. I'm used to the rear brake on the right and at the moment the hose is too short for that so need to get it sorted.
