I must admit, I can't get my head around motorbikes and how fast they are, I've seen a bike do a quarter mile pass at 249mph !! A French guy called Eric Teboul, it was just about the craziest thing I've ever seen !

As for a 'ring trip in the Defenders.... I'm in Thumbs Up

Do you go up to the Pod then? The cars and bikes are amazing make your eyes sting from the methanol and ears hurt Thumbs Up I know the ring is twisty, but that's all part of it, riding in a straight line fast is easy. Don't expect to be fast round it, tbh would just like to say that I've ridden it, far too much to learn as its so big. Friends of mine use to go fri night after work ride on the ring Sat & Sun morning then ride back ready for work Mon. Always regretted not going.

Circa 1994 when I was statoned in Germany a mate of mine dropped his 900cc 3 week old Suzuki motorcycle at Nurburgring, obviously the insurance clauses precluded payout. He had to leave the motorcycle in a well-known motorcycle theft area of Roermond to get it eventually knicked to get his payout.
Having had the ignition barrel punched out on the first attempt the thieves couldn't get it started as the battery was flat. Being the obliging chap he was, he removed the battery, recharged it and next day the bike was gone.....

You got a bike then Stu? I fancy Nurburgring & Spa next year.

Yep, HP2 sport now. Had an S1000rr before but some nice gentlemen in a stripey car suggested I slow down before I got into more trouble.
Spa is amazing but a bit moist every time I've got there.

Anyway Ring + Ring taxi + Ring hire car + large schnitzel ... Thumbs Up

I've been lucky every time I've been to Spa it's been lovely weather. HP2, nice. Running a Crossplane R1 and Busa for touring at the moment.

It always amazes me how fast bikes are and how hopeless they are at breaking by comparison to a fast car Shocked
not ideal when you ain't got a bumper.
