The new 2013 brochure talks about rubber floor trim, no mention of carpet. Unless I've missed it.

X-tech no carpets and simmonites are a waste of money as the cargo liner is to small

I see search works well If you've got a 13my then no carpets. If you've got a 12my as per your sig then it will have carpets. |

Higgers , sorry I did see link And yes it does say rubber but when you look though the main site and select Defender / 110/ station wagon /xs interior section Heated seats / air con and carpets a standard ?? I think a bit of Hassel will be storing up Monday if they tell us no carpet . As there site contradicts itself . Trading standards hear we come I think Lets hope they see sence eh. 2023 110 Xs commercial D250 2005 D3 HSE (green lane toy) 1983 westwood gazelle 11HP still going strong |

Yes i got carpet 2 months ago in my 2012 2.2 and have been complaining about it ever since but now NO carpet in a £33000 my13 110 xs . What are they playing at ? 2 billions proffit and this company are taking the with its customers . Another reason that this has been my last LR purchase . Even the little carpet i got was not glued down , had been cut by a blind man and was the worst quality 2mm nonsense ever with no underfelt or sound proofing . Us LR enthusiasts have no place in the future of the company , gone are the good old days , The quality of the whole vehicle is Shocking . The Defender is Dead Dead Dead .This is the companys way of shutting the last production year down . Disaster . Dare i mention the TOYOTA word ?

Ray,
The problem is that it take them absolutely ages to update their website. Unfortunately the dealer probably didn't even know that the 13 model was different. To be honest, carpets only smell when they get wet..... See what they say though. Cheers Ian |

Many thanks for your help ian & Jeremy
I agree a little about getting wet . But to spend 30k and get the same road noise coming from the back as a hard top is taking the p@@@ I little too much. But the new model does have a Bluetooth car kit , shame you cannot use it due to the road noise:-( I had land rovers all my life, then i defected to Toyota 8 years ago . I just fancied having one again as I have always liked Them anyway. But now I beginning to regret this and it's only been a few days Regards 2023 110 Xs commercial D250 2005 D3 HSE (green lane toy) 1983 westwood gazelle 11HP still going strong |

Best thing to do is what i have just completed . Take out all 7 seats and buy a large roll of carpet from your local carpet shop ( any colour of your choice ) and preferably nice inch thick axminster , few tins of spray glue and a sharp blade . you wont hear a thing . I also done all 5 doors , window frames behind the trim and battery box , inside the bonnet and every visable piece of metal you see . |

Yes that would work and we will most likely do some other improvements But we have just spent best part of 60k on two motors and I want my money's worth. How dare they raise the price and take the carpets out !!! 2023 110 Xs commercial D250 2005 D3 HSE (green lane toy) 1983 westwood gazelle 11HP still going strong |

Its people like us thats letting them get away with it , 25 yrs and 14 vehicles for me and £33000 outa pocket this time . Never even gota bunch of the usual flowers this time either . My wife has just looked over ma shoulder to see what im grumbling and spitting flames at , shes laughin at all us fruitcakes , all we have bought is a badge mate . Trust me mate dont waste your time complaining as i have wrote , phoned and emailed every person in every dept within the company since Aug , and got nothing for ma efforts . i have a company employing 500 and i like to think i can make a difference when i start shouting , but no headway with this company man . Its all coming to an end , and they had the cheek to advertise worldwide OUR beloved defenders in the new bond movie , i ask hu .
