HELP! Front hub removal problems
looking for some advice, i was trying to remove my front hubs on my 2003 td5 110 to replace the discs and pads, i have removed the dust cover, circ clips and washers and the five hub bolts but the hub driving members are totally stuck and no matter what ive tried i cant budge them, they seem seized onto the halfshaft. i have tried heating it up with my torch, sprayed 800 gallons of wd40 at the damn things and even bought a spring puller but all to no avail, has anyone had this problem and if so how did you get round it?

was thinking of tapping the 5 bolt holes and then adding bolts to slowly force it off or last resort cutting it off, but worried about damaging the half shaft assembly which aint so cheap to replace, any help will be appreciated from you clever guys.....

there is no nut holding the drive member on, just the circlip

can you not rotate the DM and then get in behind on the flat edge/lip that is exposed when it is out of sequence?

i large pry bar and lump hammer will do it eventually. Cheers

The FBN is behind the driving member.
Use an angle grinder with a very thin disc and slowly cut through the driving member from front to back ,carefully to avoide damaging the hub or half shaft.it is impossible to avoide a few nicks, these will not affect the components. When you have cut a number of slices beat the slots now prwesent in the drivivng member using a hammer and cold chisel.
It works.
I remove my dust/hub caps every service and grease the splines and my sure they are free.

Try using a hammer and drift to rotate the drive member until you can use a puller to pull the DM off the halfshaft.
