Hi all. I've just unclipped my breather from it's location under the wheel arch and shoved it behind the light cover. Do I have to fasten it to anything behind there or is it o.k just hanging about. Cheers,

Why not add an extension and run it along the chassis rail then up to the bulk head. That is what I did to mine. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

You should be all right just tucking it under the plastic flap.
Obviously an extension is a better long-term solution but moving it is a good start. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |

Yup, rear LHS. It looks like a 6mm tube that is bent over 180 deg with a 2" radius on the bend. At the back of the wheel arch. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |

Mine being a 10MY had it on the drivers side (RHS) above the tank near the chassis rail: Click image to enlarge This I think was an attempt by LR to get it out of the spray from the rear wheel. Mine has been extended subequently during the course of the installation of a 40 litre auxiliary fuel tank behind the rear wheel to a higher position.
