Agreed. Sometimes less is more. Steve. Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |

Agree and disagree.... modern look/old school look.....
Both are ok I think, an SVX, ICE, FIRE, X-Tech, all look good with the SVX style front. Also a lot of standard Defenders look good with them, but not in all colors...... Killer's Keswick green in my opinion is a typical example of better keeping the old school look, bog standard, or heritage grill will be all ok, but a SVX front would be too much for this very traditional, almost retro, color. But as they say here......, "Les gouts et les couleurs ne se discutent pas" You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

I'm with you, I like the heritage look but not the Heritage grill itself. Something like the Series 3 stage 1 grill or a proper galv wire Series 2 grill for the defender with an intercooler section is something I would pay money for. |

Not that I've been asked but I think the first photo is just wrong (as they now say in Essex).
"Modern" colours like bronze, silver, black etc. take the "meaty" look very well but not "Klassy Keswick". The "K" is for Glyn p.s. must stop using "" all the "time"... Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |
