Yeah I've worked it out,
Lincoln to my house is 199miles so probably 140 odd in diesel. plus food and drink, hire of a trailer 50 quid per day so say two? £100 240 before any food and drink so shiply's come up trumps. Do you ever have loads going to south west direction? that it could perhaps be put on like a backload? But shiply has come out with good quotes so may take you up on the offer of storage if the seller needs it gone quick. I will keep everyone informed of progress! Scamp on here who is another local to Lincoln is kindly giving up some of his time to go view it for me and make sure papers are in order and its all in good working order and wheels aren't hanging off! Seller has texted me asking for £300 deposit by PP so have sent him a request for £300 total on ebay so I can pay him via PP/Ebay as I can't seem to pay him other than the full amount which I don't want to do so as yet! Sorry I should of been clearer, not hauliers I'm afraid just have trailers and a couple of 7.5 tonne beaver tail lorries for transporting vintage tractors about! Have fun with your new purchase Will keep an eye on the thread to see how you get on. |

£140!!.... How mich is fuel there now? I could do that journey for about 100 Euro (Approx £75-80). Not sure if I like the idea to head back to the UK next summer. Glyn   |

Glyn thats takes into account towing a loaded double axle trailer with 33" tyres on the 110, a huge roof rack and my missus's driving which isn't exactly economical seeing as she likes to cruise at 80 on private land so i can see my diesel being swallowed up unless i force her to drive at 55mph which is no easy task normally for a feisty jamacian lass that likes to use the road presence of the 110! 2008 Santorini Black 110 XS USW (Sold)

Being Shipley this will probably (almost certainly in fact) be done "as and when" they have a vehicle in the area. If they are passing by empty, what they are charging you will basically be 100% profit, as otherwise they would have been running empty. To do jobs just from shipley I found you would have to run at a loss, problem is, everyone expects the work to be done at shipley proces then, so you just can't complete. |

Had some pics sent to me from the seller of areas I wanted to look at. obviously taken off a
 phone!
Looks pretty good, rear winch looks like a T-max. Bulkhead looks solid and paint work seems of a reasonable standard Salisbury rear axle and QT diff guards. can't tell what the suspension is though brake discs look nice and thick.

A friend somehow found this in ebay completed listings!!
It was sold to the seller in May 2011 and this is the previous owners listing that my friend found! Im even more confident its a fooking bargain! SPEC Land Rover 90 Challenge Truck with 300 TDI engine 1989 MOT June 2011. Taxed until the end of May 2011 300 TDI cam belt recently renewed New radiator New drivers base seat New rear winch plasma rope and hook New high amp alternator New gear box and clutch overall with receipts Two new leather rear axle seals New rear tub side protectors in satin black (LT 77 + 1.4 LT 230) Whitbread Truck cab roll cage with cross over in roof bars. North offroad challenge wings with aluminium chequered plate tops Simex extreme Trekker (the centipede off road tyres) 35x10.50 R16 on single bead lock wheels All tyres hold air and have passed MOT. 30mm Disco parts wheel spaces x4. Long travel suspension, Gwyn Lewis rear arms and damper mounts.11" pro comp dampers and new heavy duty rear springs in yellow. Custom heavy duty winch bumper with matching rear custom cross member which mount both winches. These are run from a seperate battery and can be operated remotely and isolated inside the cab. Disco parts rock sliders. QT Diff guards, ( devon 4x4 heavy duty steering bars.) Salisbury disc braked rear axle with detroit locker. Upgraded hand brake. Disc with new brake caliper and cable. Four recent new brake discs with pads and braided hoses. Recent new front axle. EWX 9000 rear winch fitted with worn 9.5 XP 6 HP motor with allbright solenoid. Front winch new Kingone TDS 9.5c The Land rover has recently been sprayed with rappter anti chip paint underneath chassis and rear tub as well as rear arches.The inside back of the car has been treated the same and a rubber load liner has been fitted. It also has amunition box fitted in the rear for tools etc. Small mountney steering wheel fitted. The vehicle has a few teething electrical faults mainly due to jet washing. Also the speedo has stopped working probably the cable. Slight play in transfer box bearing hence slightly noisy.These can be bought from a Land Rover dealer. THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD £1000'S SPENT ON IT AND I HAVE ALL THE RECEIPTS. Vehicle has mainly been used for green laneing and off roading and wouldn't advise buying for your daily transport. In very good condition for the year a few battle scars, Fantastic for off roading. Not long now til i collect it!
Bike still hasn't sold so secured alternative funds! Trailer is now hired for sat morning 10am pick up, aiming to be in lincoln lunchtimeish. driver and mate bribed to come with me. 4x skinny wheels sorted in case the 35" simexs and spacers are too wide for the hire trailer! Reg of my car printed onto laminate card for the trailer. Just need to sort temp insurance for the driver and I'm all set to go. Excitement creeping in now  2008 Santorini Black 110 XS USW (Sold)
