I think they look ugly. Don't look right on a traditional vehicle like the Defender. Maybe smaller ones as extra driving lights, but not main replacements. Perhaps a conventional looking lens, as the TLs have would be the disguise compromise. LED could possibly help save wildlife. It scares & shines back reflective eyes better, or makes eyes glowing red. Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world.
