I used it on my commuter and I'm reluctant to use it again as the valve never worked properly again?
anyway ignoring the damn weight of the ust tyres I think I've sussed it out.....the ust wheels didn't come with tubeless ready rim tape !!! so hopefully some proper tape and I'm sorted ! tubes and lighter tyres for reserve. |

mate. I've dug a great big hole for myself and need some help. !! bought some hope hoops for the ride and as these have crest ZTR rims I didn't realise they could be such a pig to fit tyres (my lack of knowledge as to what will and won't work with them has to say the least caused some issues). any how bottom line is I have the wheels and some Conti Xrace RS tyres but as of yet don't have the right rim tape (stans yellow 21mm tape or the valves) !! if I can't get sorted today anychance I could call in tomorrow pm for you to sort both in terms of selling the tape and valves and fitting of ? |

hi, i run hope hoops but mine are the flow version and to be honest, i use a clear electricians tape almost as my rim tape, cheaper and as effective. if you cant get the tyres on, use a bit of soapy water, well use windshield washer fluid (which evaporates faster than plain water would) but im 99% sure they will have the stuff in stock as they normally do at whinlatter bikes, im now back on my cadetship at college studying so won't be around to help.. basically you only need the valve, electricians tape can even suffiace as rim tape, as long as it creates a seal my internet is highly limited so pm would be the best as it will email my iphone.. |

thanks guys.
generally its all going well (except the wheels / tyres !) need to get my hands on some valves now - will give the electrians tape a go but suspect I'll end up having to use my existing wheel set and perhaps change over one of the nights as it doesn't look like I'll get it sorted in time now thanks for the advice / support and sponsorship....... oh and did someone mention hail ! |

guys - a huge thank you for your support.
only a very quick update (for now). completed the ride (and quite often walk with bike on back). got back late last night. some rather 'interesting' times, generally out for 12-13hrs (yes my bum is now rather painful). |
