2008 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 USW Auto Tonga Green

DIM DIP

Can anyone help me, I wish to disable the dim dip function on my 2008 puma defender.

I think the resistor is located on the bulkhead. 2.4 90 XS
1968 1/32 scale Britains 109 Pick up.

they don't have dim dip since certain e.u laws.

Commercials do 2.4 90 XS

i've not seen that - i stand corrected. is the loom there on all models?

So all I have to do is find the resistor and disconnect the wires then?

apparently so. i have one of the resistors, i was going to fit it to mine. why do you want to disconnect it?

I do not want to use dim dip.
I would prefer to have side lights only on certain occasions.

looking in my ws manual the resistor is under bonnet rh inner fender

OK problem is solved, just cut the brown wire with green trace at side of multiplug r/o brake servo.

no more dim dip

You'll find that you could have just unplugged it from the resistor pack, save cutting the loom.

I'd tape the end of the cable up too, as that'll have 12v on it when the lights are on... you don't want that flapping about under the bonnet

Naturally the ends have been taped and sealed back into the loom.

It was easiest to cut wire as i could not get to resistor.

AHA! I've often wondered about this! Think I'll give it a go myself with mine, always preferred the look of them with just the side lights on. Looks like it has a dodgy earth or something at the moment.
