Try doing a search or two yourself....
Last one from me.... https://www.defender2.net/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=26 Also the suppliers advertise.... "Mantec Raised Air Intakes are supplied with a fitting kit and instructions." Should the instructions be lacking in detail and if all else fails phone them! Or just seal everything you deem to be at risk of leaking underwater in the airfilter box. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Thanks K9F. I have done quite a few searches already and indeed I had found that one myself but it doesn't say anything about any work needed behind the wing. i.e. from the inner wing to the air filter (and beyond?) so it didn't help me with my question.
All instructions I found are for the outside as are the instructions that came with it. That should be enough to qualify it for an RAI as that is what mantec is selling it for. I was wondering what more needs to be done to seal it more like a snorkel. As I couldn't find anything one could also conclude that no more is needed and that it is just a mix-up of the words snorkel and RAI. Cheers, Bernd |

Maybe you could 'adapt' the Safari snorkel fitting instructions and seal your own to match perhaps?
