![]() ![]() ![]() While driving through the two Kalahari Parks with terrible corrugations, I did notice a very slight knocking in the steering but never bothered complaining as I know the dealer would have sent it back with "no problems found sir". Now that the steering box is leaking I guess that problem will be solved when they put in a new one. (I assume) Mine is weeping from the piston cover according to the manual description of the part. Anyone else get a new steering box because of a leak? Puma 110 - gone Series III 1973 - going strong |

My power steering dumped all its fluid one morning.
It turned out to be a hose connection that wasn't tightened. Apart from being a SOAB to reach, once tightened and re-filled I've had no issues. Check the hoses and joints because it could be that yours is a slow weep. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |

I suspect that my steering box is weeping as well: a tell tale drop of clear fluid that sits on the bottom of the casing at the front of the piston. No other noticeable symptoms though.
It is on the list of items as soon as the dealer can fit me in. Mahn '08 Defender 110 ex '95 Disco 300 Tdi www.aulro.com |
