Roof mounted speakers? In a Defender?
Never knew Landrover did such a thing I'd guess its an aftermarket/self fitment jobbie ... in which case you'll be on your own, all down to trial and error Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant. |

I've saw a picture a short while ago and thought that was a great spot as I've a DC

You said you removed the speakers AND headliner. Are you sure the bracket you mentioned is not for the headliner attachment and the speakers were just screwed into the headliner. In my Puma 90 the rear speakers are fitted in the rear each side of the rear door, below the rear side windows. Yours look like a DIY fitting. LANDYWATCH
