Does or will the curves and length of the air intake pipe from the wing slow down the speed of the air entering the filter? 1999 Defender TD5 110

i doubt it mine is currently running through a pipe from the snorkel which will incur a ram type affect but i may be wrong
the other good thing about that filter is you dont have to modyfy the original filter box steve 2015 2.2 tdci hardtop xs 3.2 conversion DONE 238bhp and 707nm torque and thats just the start ;-P hybrid turbo in build -done ready to fit ashcroft atb in transfer box 6 speed auto in build |

One Prize competition:
Why the inlet valves are bigger than exhust? A hint, do not think about pressure effects or pump effects, think about a "wall"...... Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition IID Pro MV License |

And for a non turbo engine? It seems a logical answer but it is not correct .... Again ..... Inlets are generally bigger partly because the inlet charge pressure going into the cylinder is lower than the exhaust outlet pressure, though many combinations of valve size ratio are used from manafacturer to manafacturer.
It also gives the engine manafacturer more choice of valve seat design that they may require depending on application and the valve size chosen. |

I hope to measure it unrestricted somehow, not worked out how exactley yet though lol. I may do some vac pressure tests on the current inlet setup and see if i can make it as free as possibile. |
