what's wrong with this country ?

I bought a printer .. it was DoA

I bought a wooden swing seat ... bits missing & damaged wood work

Both sent back .. why do businesses bother sending out substandard kit ?

have you noticed quite a few documentary type programmes seem to have that extremely annoying pluck-pluck....pluck-pluck string music/sound in the back ground.

how ruddy annoying. i watch the programmes for the content not the stupid background cr@ppy 'cool' background so-called music but it drives me mad BM52

Bit hard to forgive and forget etc. Should have guessed what was coming when she did'nt attend the christening ceremony. Well used to it by now but some days it hits me and it opens up the wound.

At the end of the day it's their loss not mine plus it's one less present to buy at Christmas. It's no good looking back and wondering "Maybe if she'd have been around......" that time has gone, my wife probably not have cracked up over looking after my boy and walked out on us. That's been and gone, we just move on and take the next load of carp the world has to throw at us! Why oh why did I end up with a Defender! It must be that I just can't live without an odd challenge or three Whistle

I've been incredibly fortunate so I don't know much about your situations but I do know you have the right attitudes to life, for you and your kids. I just hope when your taking all the "rough" you get the chance to enjoy some "smooth" as well Thumbs Up Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

No complaints, just the odd bad day now and then! Would not change a thing. Two lovely girls and a wife who has never driven anything but a 110 and does not mind doing so.Don't think about the future too much as sometimes getting through today is victory enough. We are happy and you can't ask for more than that.Having said that, if the wife looked a little like..... As been said above, when you have a child with special needs you live each day as it comes, for some because to put it bluntly, it may be the last, for others it's because each day allthough same-ish can bring on a new breakthrough, a new milestone. There are days when you're at rock bottom and I will admit that I miss my ex-wife like hell, we were and still are the best of friends, I don't feel angry at what she did, it was circumstance in the fact that she couldn't cope any more but her taking a break went a bit too far and her pride wouldn't allow her to admit to making a mistaken decision before it was too late.

After a lifetime working with animals and livestock you take everything that nature has to throw at you and get on with it, you don't change fate you live it.

Miserable nurses in private hospitals Evil or Very Mad

Just got home from said hospital where my wife had a rather distressing operation today (hence my many posts).
The hospital is costing us a fortune and my wife's fine but all the pretty 20-something year old Serbian/Croatian etc. nurses are so bloody miserable! Don't they realise how lucky they are? At most they have to change a few dressings and administer painkillers. Couldn't they just try to Censored smile?

When I was resident in a London hospital in the late 80s it was bloody awful for the nurses (and doctors). We sometimes worked 3 days straight and the nurses didn't get much better either. Incidentally, we were just becoming aware of HIV but had no idea how to deal with it. I got out of the butchering game quick, thank God, but have tremendous respect for all those brilliant nurses who keep marching on.

As for these underworked, overpaid, miserable sods who glower at my wife as she explains she is in pain, I feel like grabbing them and slapping them round the face... but then she wouldn't get her painkillers Sad Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

I remember my wife had a stint in hospital too. Having brought her home I thought I'd lighten the situation by carrying her over the threshold. Having sort of got her into my arms - actually very difficult to do, I (we) staggered forward. I almost decapitated her on the door frame. Then I tripped and we both fell through the doorway in a heap. Thankfully I was not hurt as I landed on top of the wife. Not my finest moment I will admit, but I ment well. Mr. Green
All the best to your wife and if you do attempt the above I hope you will have better luck than me. Whistle 1982 88" 2.25 diesel
