Now who's not going to be happy?!!!! When at the zoo "Don't poke the bears!" Can feel a snivelling apology coming on next time you want to buy..... I rest my case your Honor!!! ****EDIT**** Rocco there are no hard and fast rules. The sponsors I have spoken to are an amiable bunch who WILL give you discount and help at the drop of a hat, even when they're not obliged to do so! Pick what you're after, make a phonecall, introduce yourself and ask! You may be pleasantly surprised at the result! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! Last edited by K9F on 17th Jul 2012 3:59pm. I'd say the advice and experience would be worth more than a few bob saved here and there
Suppliers are always happy to look at deals, and I know of several things that I have bought/contemplated that were cheaper from a forum sponsor than buying direct from the manufacturer. Not sure about 30% on everything, but in my experience they're difficult to beat for genuine parts. Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought!" - Princess Leia |

Want discount? Ring and talk to the sponsors, they're all people and if there isn't enough margin, they'll do something else to help !!!!

Different markets and different product lines have vastly different mark ups. Some products are readily available, others have extremely long lead times which all affects stock levels which have to be held.
So no uniform discount structure will apply. Insulting forum sponsors by calling them tight sods is hardly likely to make friends with the forum sponsors! I wonder what some people would say if their employers turned round at the end of the week/month and said they were going to pay them less then their agreed wage/salary? Do people at the supermarket checkout offer the cashier £5 or 30% less? Brendan |

Keep meaning to contact Rejel.com for a 5-10% discount on orders of Dinitrol or to become a site sponsor. They do it for the Series2 cub but then we are not club members of defender2.net as such and they probably wont be interested in sponsoring the site but can only ask

Well, I know I got a great deal from Brendan recently, excellent comms and quick delivery from Stock. I was happy with the price, didn't ask what discount was applied, just that it was a good price already. Over on D3

Brendan.... I see your point on the supermarket shoppers but then some might say clubcards and loyalty points are a form of discount I personally have no prob giving my customers a bit off especially for prompt payment unfortunately most still expect it after several months of credit
